Warner Bros. has announced that a Lego Movie sequel is scheduled to be released on 26 March 2017, with Christ Mckay as director and Phil Lord and Christopher Miller as producers. And co-producer Village Roadshow Pictures is replaced by New Line Cinema (from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit). Everything known yet:
Expect more Benny and Spaceships. The first films astronaut was a nod to the creators own childhood.
Lord and Miller would love to add some Marvel Super Heroes, like Spiderman.
Mckay wants more women in the sequel than men.
The producers haven't decided yet if they will expand the Duplo Aliens or not.
Chris Pratt wants to reprise his role as Emmet, and Will Arnett might return as Batman, but he hasn't decided yet.
But first, Lord and Miller are producing a Lego Ninjago Movie. It's sceduled to hit theaters in the fall of 2016.
